Tish Ince is currently working on her return books – ‘Coming Home’ – which is a healing and spiritual journey after her return to the UK from San Francisco. ‘The San Francisco Story’ and ‘Coming Home’ are under the publishing presses now, however in a differing order with ‘Coming Home’ first.
'Black Sheep - Lambing Season and & The London Help - Cultural Exchanges and Learning' - by Tish Ince
Tish Ince has been working on a project supported by Bath Spa University and Paper Nations. It focuses on a cultural exchange between a London, Trinidadian / Irish writer with no experience of farm life and heavily reliant on her urban street skills and a Gloucestershire, Newent White English, Scottish sheep farmer. The book is a series of experiences of hands on help on a farm during lambing season in 2024, coupled with photography and interviews with local farming communities. She has been nicknamed ‘the sheep lady’.
'Roots, Hay and Strawberries - Personal Experiences of People of Colour and Farm Life'
Supported by Bath Spa and Paper Nations, Tish Ince developed a story project for POC within fruit picking communities of Newent, to share experiences of working and farm life here in the UK, contrasting this with memories of themselves or families from their mother countries and any of working on farms in particular. Written poetry and short story making – sharing words, or songs of farm life.

'Women of Colour - Write!' Writer Programmes at Gloucester Library
Supported by Bath Spa and Paper Nations, Tish Ince, writes, supporting the continued development of herself as a Black/Irish woman writer mentoring and facilitating writing with writers’ support of a young, marginalised Irish woman writer and poet. at Gloucester Library and online using WhatsApp to share The 21 Day Writers’ PDFs from her writing programme, upload work / sharing recorded written work, and give mentor feedback. The writer is offered the opportunity to be published either in partnership with Paper Nations and TIArts or singularly through TIArts.
'Nepalese and Sri Lankan perspectives of community with Newent Farmers'
Supported by Bath Spa and Paper Nations, Tish Ince developed a story project with Nepalese and Sri Lankan workers – sharing experiences of working within the community of Newent farmers. Audio interviews, written poetry and short story making – sharing words, or songs of farm life.

Spray Him into a cup of hot chocolate
to soothe a troubled mind
hit the can each time leaning into the whipped cream wrapped around your thoughts your understanding not His
shaken spooned marshmallows stirring up chaos of pretty pink and white the weight on your hips no prayer on your lips deep in the cup of self dust of cocoa masking the fight between dark and light
these battles are won in heavenly swirls
sword of the Spirit dipped in and out
devastation in creams spun sugar wound up around at night the aerating into black
take it back take it back
negotiate the world unwon still seek the overcome in misted moons and sky under stars and sprinkles smoke from a hand arises wafting into space your fall from Grace cupped outside on patios
kept for peace
leave the ash the deepest grey
cigarette another day watch your descent
in enemy arise calm the last fight
The Risen dreams and visions
of backslide derision.
save another day tonight I lose a fight.
the battle is not lost in the hot chocolate
and my leaning into the swirl of a Good God.
